The archives of the Finnish Heritage Agency manage archived materials which have been collected over 140 years and which are part of the national cultural heritage of Finland. The archived materials start for the most part from 1884, the year the State Archaeological Commission was established. The archives also include some materials that predate these materials.
The archived materials are mainly related to the cultural environment and heritage, its maintenance and management and related research. The largest collections of materials are related to archaeology, the built environment and ethnology.
The archives of the Finnish Heritage Agency are a part of the Archives and Information Services department of the Finnish Heritage Agency.
