National Image Archive Days, 16-17 November 2026
The Image Archive Days will once again be held after a three-year hiatus, organized jointly by the Finnish Museum of Photography and the Picture Collections of the Finnish Heritage Agency.
This free event invites image archive professionals and anyone interested in the field to discuss current topics, hear updates from colleagues, and learn more about photography. This year's seminar themes are the decolonization of image archive work and artificial intelligence and its impact on collections management. The seminar's primary language is Finnish.
The Image Archive Days will take place on Monday, 16 November, as an in-person seminar at the Hakaniemi Government Office Building (Hakaniemenranta 6, Helsinki), and on Tuesday, 17 November, as a webinar.
